Re: ZZ4 cam

Kinda late in the game, (I realize it's sold), but I was just curious how this cam would compare to a stock LT1 cam? Bigger, smaller, low end, top end, etc.

Yea, it's speed density. The intake was originally a MAF system but the harness and ecm are speed density.

Any interest in a 89 TPI 305

I have a 89 TPI 305 with a LT1 cam I'll be pulling out of my truck before long.
I put a new timing chain in it when I put the cam in, as well as valve seals, front and rear main seals and freeze...

Re: T5 Clutch/Flywheel size?

Old post, but I thought I'd update, (and ask another question... lol).

I got a 153 tooth flywheel, and went with the 88 Vette clutch. Also got the McLeod t56 adapter.

Now my question is, does...

Re: LT1 T56. Clutch Fork Hits Pressure Plate but Clutch Isn't Disengaging.

The LT1 style clutch is a POS, (IMHO), but I just wanted to share how I adjust mine. It's probably not the correct way, but it works, takes a few minutes and should work with any parts combo.

Re: T5 Clutch/Flywheel size?

I always get a kick out of HP ratings on a clutch. That part makes no difference to me. I'd much rather see a torque/traction/heat rating. 500 HP is easy to hold with no traction.

Re: T5 Clutch/Flywheel size?

I was actually just reading about that setup this morning. I'll be looking into that pressure plate for sure. Not sold on the DF discs though. I'd rather stick with a stock style disc if I can.

Re: T5 Clutch/Flywheel size?

Well that confirms what I thought anyway. I'll look into the 88 vette clutch for sure. I was hoping for a 11" clutch at least, but 10.75" sounds a little better than a 10.5". Lol

T5 Clutch/Flywheel size?
