Re: 305 Build

Well since you're going against a 5.0 Ford with your 305 you're already hosed. The stang 5.0 has a 4" bore and the valves are not shrouded like they are in the 305. Therefore they can run larger...

I have to ask are you crazy? From what I have seen 86 GT's verts are kinda rare. Just save the cash and buy an IROC. Folks on this site will probably hate me for that comment but I like to appreciate...

Re: Car making weird sound. Maybe a pulley or Smog pump?

I know what you mean. I basically have touched every nut and bolt on this 91 of mine. It beats paying for a new SS. I had learned so much from my other Camaros 67,68,79 Z28, 80 Z28, and 87 Sport...

Re: Car making weird sound. Maybe a pulley or Smog pump?

Hey Torque-is-good, I couldn't agree with you more. The only way to learn how to fix these cars is to go roll up your sleeves and do it! Hell that's the way most of us had to learn especially before...

I bet your uncle the Ford nut is not going to let you for get about that defective AC Delco 'GM' spark plug being defective and causing the problem. Glad to hear it's fixed.

Re: Low Oil Pressure!

Simple thing to look at is the oil level. Your oil filter might have some trash in it causing blockage. Don't know how old or how many miles are on your engine but the bearings could be shot and in...

Re: Fords don't need Mr. Goodwrench!

With it afterfiring out of the exhaust, your timing has got to be off. Look at this way, the exhaust valve is open when the plug is firing. I would check to make sure the dist is in correctly.

Since this started happening after the column was lowered down, that's the first place I would look. Check for any obvious wire breaks or chaffing to metal. If you have a multimeter find the powered...

The IAC controls the air idle. After that the throttle plates in the throttle body unit control airflow.
