Re: Shimming an 84 10 bolt for PBR rears

Good idea on the C clips, car has 172K on it, rear end was done at like 90K. I'll take it under consideration. As for the washers as a spacer, your experience has me feeling more comfortable with...

Re: Shimming an 84 10 bolt for PBR rears

Not a bad idea actually. I was thinking of putting washers between the carrier and the backing plate to see if I could get that centered. I'm not sure I'd ever run the car like that though. Other...

Shimming an 84 10 bolt for PBR rears

I'm running into issues trying to shim out the PBR caliper carriers. Got the shim kit from Andy Z28, and using FynBye (Ed) backing plates. Got a thick and thin shim on the passenger side and the...

Re: Clutch/NSS Wiring Gauge?

Ok cool, Thanks, I know some wire is bulky, would rather use something closer to the original to avoid the bulky awkwardness of the heavier wire. Guess it is off to the parts house for wire for me.

Re: Clutch/NSS Wiring Gauge?

So 12 would be good as well? I'll see what it comes out to. If the original NSS/Clutch safety is a 12 ga, 10 would work but doesn't make sense to get 10 if 12 works and is better suited fit wise.

Re: Clutch/NSS Wiring Gauge?

The wiring should be the same then, but if your car didn't burn to the ground with ten gauge wire, I should be ok as well. Seems to be too big for 10 gauge if using the strippers, I guess the gauge...
