No, I'm afraid not. I actually haven't worked on mine for a few years. What's the problem with yours?

Re: Operation: New Overhead Console Flashlight

Valid point. It gets fairly hot up in that roof. Lets not discount rechargables because of a few over-hyped news stories, though. Those cells were made with Chinesium, cost over safety with those...

Re: Operation: New Overhead Console Flashlight

A couple ideas for the light;

Use the red section of the LEDs and add a blinking circuit to make a handy emergency flasher.

IIRC, there's a constant hot line for the map light. Instead of AA's,...

Re: How to add an auxiliary input on an original Delco unit ? SOLVED WITH DIAGRAM !

Marcus,
I'll try looking for the schematics. In the mean time... It sounds like you have access to a scope and know how to use it. Have you tried to just monitor the outputs from the amplifer box....

Re: How to add an auxiliary input on an original Delco unit ? SOLVED WITH DIAGRAM !

Marcus,
I had the schematic for the Berlinetta 'Pod' radio, not the regular radio installed in the dash, you put this in a thread for regular Delco radios.
I say had, because I haven't looked at it...

Re: Won't crank proper after a long drive (305 LG4)

PS.... if the commutators are very dirty, use a soft pink eraser to clean them. DO NOT scrape them, they are very soft and damage easily.

I would pull the starter and blow out the accumulated brush material between the commutators (the copper plates that the brushes come in contact with). When the material builds up, power is sent to...

Re: carb help.

I'm willing to bet that the diaphragm on the replacement pump is broken. Even if it was brand new, it's not unusual to get a bad one. A torn diaphragm allows fuel to leak directly into the crankcase....

Re: changed over digi dash and different mileage appears

I played with this some years ago. I remember an eight-pin IC on the back of the cluster that retains the mileage data. I think you can swap out the chips and change the data.

Re: Digital Speed Cluster 85Berlinetta

It's set from the factory to do that. I've never heard of a way to remove it. I believe it's programmed in the cluster.
You could put the cluster in km/h to make it look faster :)

Re: How to add an auxiliary input on an original Delco unit ?

Re: Attention all 9Bolt Owners! And board sponsors.

Absolutely! The whole reason for using a pre-load cover is to help increase the overall strength of the rear. The stud kit is well worth the cost.

Re: Attention all 9Bolt Owners! And board sponsors.

Best to ask the cover manufacturer for the pre-load bolt torque. The '86 manual gives cover bolt torque as 30 ft-lb (41 N-m) and the bearing caps as 60 lb-ft (81 N-m). But these are for a 7-5/8"...

Re: Attention all 9Bolt Owners! And board sponsors.

I disagree. A properly sized bolt will engage just as many threads as a stud. When the nut is tightened, it pulls and deforms the hole threads just as much as a bolt. The advantage is not having the...

Re: Attention all 9Bolt Owners! And board sponsors.

It applies a slight pressure against the bearing caps, giving them extra support and keeping them from moving around during heavy loads. This movement can damage the gears, destroying the rear end.

If the switch is getting hot without using it, it's shorting....
