Re: Formula 350 drag test (vintage)

That car in the first article is a literal clone of my 88 Formula. Although I never read that article until today, I had similar results in 2006-07 when I first bought the car (w 50k miles for like...

Re: How restrictive are L98 manifolds?

My thinking exactly. People still arguing headers over manifolds is ridiculous. As noted in the quote, order Dyno Dons and be done.

Re: How restrictive are L98 manifolds?

The exhaust manifolds are terrible on these cars. I installed Dyno Dons on my 88 L98 and picked up 4 mph in 1/4 mile, no other changes on a 90 degree day.

Re: PRISTINE 1992 Camaro RS - 2959 miles - what would you pay??

That is a gorgeous car, congrats! I like that you are not scared to engine swap/mod it. Im of the "cars were meant to drive" variety of owner. I have respect for how nice low milage examples are, but...

Re: CA Smog Legal headers?

Have Dyno Dons on my L98 w/ AIR tubes (i.e. smog provisions) and they fit fantastic. Also picked up 4 mph in the 1/4.

You can definitely see the resemblance between that SLP piece and the Dyno Don y-pipe.

Re: Gonna replace valve seals... New springs and/or Rockers????

Dude put headers on that thing! The stock exhaust manifolds effectively neutralize any engine mods, they're terrible. I picked up 4 mph in the 1.4 with Dyno Dons on a stock L98. If your not going to...

Re: tpi hard start after warm up and setting

Beyond possibly being fuel related, a bad cap/rotor can cause this issue. Had this issue on a TPI car that had only 49k miles on it but many of the original (and now 30 years old) wear items in...

Re: High Mileage TTA, any concerns? Things I should look at?

I wish it was that affordable. The guy still wanted 10k for it. I made my offer to him but needless to say I valued it at a typical trans am with similar issues (a little extra for the engine), he...

Re: High Mileage TTA, any concerns? Things I should look at?

I agree, that car would need a full on restoration to accurately repair the rust. Currently my Chevelle has exploded all over my garage so I don't think now is a great time for another restoration to...

Re: High Mileage TTA, any concerns? Things I should look at?

Honestly the engine rebuild was done well and is probably the best part of the car. Its a shame, to look at the car from even 10 feet away it looks great. Then you start looking underneath it and its...

Re: High Mileage TTA, any concerns? Things I should look at?

Me and you are thinking along the same lines. I am by no means a guy who "preserves" a car for the perceived value, I'm looking at this a opportunity to own a unique/fun car I could drive the wheels...
