It should work. When I swapped out the T56 for the T5, I didnt change the hydraulics. It was the same TPI parts stuff, left in the car.

Bolted up like a charm.

Actually I was arguing the exact opposite. I absolutely LOVED the way those pedals felt. I compared a few othe cars in this thread and how the clutch felt and this one felt exactly like the 2010...

Just grind the crap out of the hole in the bracket and make it bigger. I ground away bit by bit, but you can just take a big chunk out, no biggie. Use a washer when youre done. Extensions and...

You MAY also need to enlarge the 4 holes that go over the brake booster. I only enlarge 2 I think (been a while, but the info is in this thread).

I dunno man, not to knock what youve done, but I think its a bad place to skimp. Heres what happens to a cast peice if its abused too much. $400 is cheap insurance for a billet piece IMO. Youre right...

I beleive they just have a warehouse. So you dont pay duty. But make sure you call ahead and see if they have the part.

Thats exactly what was used. This was the "flex" agent part of it in a can.

It sprayed on clear and was tacky like glue almost. Then a 2 part epoxy high build primer was sprayed in 3 coats....

Ive done both. Are you sure about the fuel cell being that far off? Usually Jegs and Summit are pretty close in price for this kinda stuff. Max difference of maybe $50 over a 300-400 part....

Youre stuck with the option you originally listed then and the $300 price tag unfortunately.

The programmable speedos are about $200, the regular ones are about $150.

I have a 71-Abody thats slated to recieve a T56 sometime pending finances. I wouldnt bother with the conversion speedo stuff, id just get an aftermarket electronic speedo.

Im pretty sure you can still order a replacement through GM dealership. Since tremec is still around, and alot of the newer cars still use the same basic transmission. Thats just OEM though.

You cant use the T5 flywheel. The "spacing" and clutch are different. Notice the thickness of the T5 bell compared to the T56 bell, they are not the same.

NO I DONT THINK SO.... However dont take my word for it. My reasoning is the ECM only controls the skip shift, reverse lockout and that sorta stuff. LT1 gauge for LT1 spoeedo signal, should work...

unless youre running a SBC 400 or most big blocks (with the exception of the 427) you need the INTERNAL balance 700107 Centerforce.

The external balance wont work for your application.

Thats what i had initially as well, then i bought a second smaller one for $4.00 , put a T-fitting on it, and ran a long vacuum hose inside the car, and mounted it on the dash. I kept the smaller one...
