Yes that is my understanding. as long as you have electric speedo and not cable driven.
You would reuse your driven gear that came off of old unit.

A long shot but:
when your sensors read off ie -40, check that sensor plug for supply voltage +5 and a ground,
I think those sensors have the same supply voltage origins

could be some type off...

I used Wizard metal polish as a last product applied.
leaves a great shine with protection left on the wheels.
just a quick touch up at wash time and they shine like new.

OK sounds like 3.90 would be ideal-
however- I have a 10 bolt so back to 3.73 vs 4.10.
I have 245-50/16 stock height tires.

I am leaning toward 3.73.

I have 3.23gears now but not right for the T56, so 3.42/3.73/4.10 are my choices..

I am leaning to 3.73 so I can actually use 6th gear.

(using scan tool monitor IAC position(counts) with car fully warmed up ,you should have 10-20 IAC.. if counts to high -open TB...

EGR valve stuck open do to crud build up..? this would lean out a lot at idle so pops etc would be heard, but as you speed up this is less of a problem so you don't notice it.

i think u need to find TDC #1 and then go from there.... i have seen dizzys that were out by a tooth that can be compensated for...

my thought

as car sits over night, fuel is leaking into exhaust and collecting in muffler-so when u hit the starter the fuel is ignited and boom it sounds like a shot.

so were is leak coming...

from 88 up they added an "AUX valve body"
so u can only upgrade with what u have ie u can not retofit aux vavle body into 87 down..

you have electric sppedo in ur 92.
in 84 they used mechanical speedo's-so u might have to swap output housing-its four bolts not a big deal-also the speedo internal gears need tobe swaped,,..

the way i do it, is to mount a spare tl1086 on a small heat sink and also mount up the 1 ohm resistor on the board as indicated, that way i can teat all steps to verify correct, and then remove test...
