Actually the plate would work even better in the vert. I had two rocksford fosgate 12inch punch subs with a plate in the trunk. Once the trunk was closed it sounded amazing.

Just start taking stuff apart to get behind the lighter socket. Sometimes the ground bends enough to where it makes contact with the power wire. I am sure that the lighter wiring close to the lighter...

Pinout diagrams exist on the factory manuals. I have 15 pages for 88 diagram with PIN OUTs. So, they do exist, but you need a factory manual. I just don't have one on hand, but I know people here...

Yeah if all of those things are out at once than its MOST likely a FUSE. Fuses are underneath the sterring wheel to the left of the brake pedal.

I would think that the digital gauge might have a short or the sensor itself is bad. If its not a wire issue the sender...

I personally find it hard to 'one hand' the stock pontiac 92 air bag wheel. Its a bit too even throughout, and the faded slick leather does not help it.
