If the TPS is within the range it needs to be, it's not your problem. Adjusting it past it intended parameters won't fix the hesitation either. You need to find out where the root of the problem is....

This is what I was thinking also. I had the same issue on my 91. Followed the guide to fix it and works fine. But I would verify first if the engine rpm is reading high or not.

Did you put any tape or thread sealer on the switch? If so, this would cause it to not ground properly, if that's the case. If not it could be a bad switch.
