If you had a stronger bottom end, and some decent heads, this cam would probably suit a miniram and stick shift or 3500+ RPM...

The ramjet was on a 350hp engine from GM... I'm guessing it's not a great flowing piece. If it was on a >400hp engine from GM, I'd think more about giving it a go.

The price of the bare HSR is very tempting though... but the ramjet is all complete... And I'm looking to have a variety of manifolds to play with - to get a few good tunes built up in my 'library'...

Resting on the hot valve, getting blasted by the exhaust, and flowing through the barely cracked open valve do most of it. Compression heat is combatted by higher pressure - I'm not really sure which...

Exactly right - injection on an open valve is very bad for atomization and vaporization at lower RPMs - the fuel often flies right to the cylinder wall. This causes misfires and high HCs.

Take a super ram, and put a throttle between each 2 runners. At high RPM, the throttle will open and the length of the runner is effectively cut down to the point of the throttle.

Depends on the software and if it's for street use. It takes a LOT of fuel to get the transients in shape on a TBI style injection - and you'll have to just give up eventually in some situations and...

Let me share a bit of what I think I know:

Port (in general - batch or sequential)
1) reduces the transient fuel requirements - making it MUCH easier/possible to keep near lambda 1 during drive...

I can't open that, but the state may say "closed loop" but still be not doing closed loop and have WOT fuel and spark. Open loop would be if something disabled the closed loop criteria, which WOT...

The LG4 spark tables are pretty bad though (like 20 degrees at full throttle), if I recall correctly. If you bump the base timing a bit (stock on LG4 was about 0), you might be in the ballpark.
