There should be 12v to the pink wires. If its a remote coil, the power wire that goes to the coil also goes to the HEI module and needs 12v.

Depends on transmission. When I had the original 5.0L H.O in my car it still had the 5 speed. I have the original Australian rear, the 3.71 rear gears made a real difference. helps the engine pick up...

There only 1/4" steel plates. Just make them. Just need a center hole cut for the old spring and the shape of the space around that mount. If you have the tools it should not be hard to make.

In the front of my car I run 300lbs/in the rear is a variable 130-200 lbs/in . Both front and rear are coil over and use a QA1 spring. hope this helps.
