To be honest I do not remember everything I did to get it to fit but
I do know it was not anything crazy. It has worked without any problems since the day I installed it.

Yes , they are called flip rods and they flip that bow over to help raise and lower the top.

Take that back if you go to the junk yard get the silver rod that goes from the 4th gen hatch key cylinder to the hatch lock shaft ,,looks similar to this ...

I would think if you are not worried about emissions then you should not have any issues.
If you have chosen what way to go with your fuel lines and I would think you are going to use the 3gen...

yes , its a slam shut off that comes on late 91-92s .i added the remote release from a 4th gen so I have remote pop

I went through this and at first found a couple of the power pull down units that would work with my 92 vert just to get the remote pop option. They worked fine but they would break like all of them...

first 2 things I would check is to make sure your vac lines to the ac controls are good and its getting vac. @nd would be the vac selector on the ac controller, they have a tendency of leaking there...

I agree to get rid of the 98 pcm and the 411 will work with the 98 harness you will just have to repin it to the 99-02 harness at the pcm. It's not difficult and well worth it.

I would go with the 02 plastic tank, put a good pump in it and be done. Tank fits right up in the stock location,easy change over to get the lines worked out and to get it to work with the stock fuel...
