I ended up settling with an .008 pinion cup shim with .009 backlash ...

I ended up adding .008 pinion cup shim and brought the backlash down to .009
Looks as good as it can i suppose.

Rear Dana 60 new ring and pinion

Hello everyone,
I am rebuilding my Dana 60 and setting up a new ring and pinion. Is this pattern acceptable? Let me know what you think.
Pinion preload used bearings for setup .019
No shims under...
