Can confirm that those pads are leak preventers. My roof leaked like crazy. I added in some gasket material and screwed it back down. No more leak!

Just received an update! They finished the last coat of paint on the back today and expect to ship it out on Wednesday. So I'll probably have it by the weekend/Monday.

I went with the Ebay seller. I'll post the before and after once the service is fulfilled. That way if any of you are curious you can see how well/terrible it went :)
