TH350 Trouble Shifting

I have a sbc 350 with a TH350 and not so 2nd but mainly 3rd it will take so long for it to shift. The rpms will be up and it will just stay there for a few seconds or until I reach a higher speed....

I checked the engine code it’s T0209CRE, idk if I’m right or not but from what I found it’s rated at 300hp and tranny’s a th350
