So it looks like the drivers side is sitting at 230 to 245 deg. Pass side is 100 colder.

got the inferred therm in today. will probably take a look tomorrow. wonder why one wouldn't be firing. all have new plugs and wires to them.

well, i took the old plugs out and they had so much carbon on them they was black. placed new ones in it and it starts but is idling rough and has a slow throttle response.

no change. still cranks, starts, backfires, then dies. Going to try and throw some new plugs in and ill test again.

I don't have a gauge to use to see the actual PSI but there is fuel in it as I can get spray coming from the valve. Vats has been bypassed years ago and has ran ever since it was bypassed. It did run...

it is getting spark. has a brand new fuel pump, installed today. plugs, wires, and cap was done a few years ago before parking.

what other details are you needing? car is an 89 firebird 2.8l (listed on my profile as well). car turns over and starts and dies immediately after backfiring. only runs for like 3 seconds. Really...

was not running before the injector swap. replaced the injectors and the fuel pump. it tries to start but back fires and dies. not sure what else to check.

So I put new injectors in. It starts now but will not run. Back fires and dies. I'm wondering if I put the injectors wiring on wrong for the ones right next to each other on both sides.

12v on black/pink and the light blue. May just replace the relay. It's pretty cheap

just an update. Changed out the fuel pump and the strainer. Car is starting now. Getting a cod 34 though. MAF was tested on another car and it ran fine. Is there any fuses for it?

ok i will test that this weekend. honestly i may just replace the pump and the oil pressure switch since as far as i know they are still original. i will update this weekend. Possibly Friday.

yeah all the fuses are testing out good. pump itself isn't wanting to prime so may be a failing pump. i have had a new one for a while just haven't done it yet. guess i have to now. I will update...

well it was working just fine a few weeks ago then out of no where no pump. So wondering if the relay was bad then I checked the plugs and found that. I'll let you know later on.

Ended up pulling on off a vette at the yard. My original plugs was the 43ts and they was pitch black when pulling out

I have the FSM somewhere lol. I got the original part nunber for the Cold start . Looks like it's the same part for a lot of th v8 engines. Gonna hit the yard up shortly and see what I can find.

I also picked up a new coolant sensor as well as a intake temp sensor but I did not see a listing for the Cold Start Switch/Sensor

from what I have seen its the same CSI rather its a V8 or a V6 so ill be looking there after I inspect it to make sure its not a wire issue. Thank you

Yeah they have 2 different pull down switches so it makes it a pain in the *** lol I got mine from a 96 deville since the switch looked similar to mine.
