Re: 1989 Camaro rs 2.8 acceleration problems

I had this happen on my 2.8 Sport Coupe- the fan motor died because I had it wired to run all the time. I had no trouble replacing it tho, and helpful hint- there's a direct fit temp switch that can...

Nasty clattering sound- damaged transmission mount?

Hey guys, recently the bulletproof 2.8 has started making this awful clattering noise, loudest cruising around 15mph in first and least noticeable while cruising in 3rd & 4th. 700r4 btw. You can hear...

Re: identify this sensor - rear of intake - 2.8

Just the cold start switch! The tube is just metal with a kinda plastic coating. Black plastic is just the connector plug for the switch. Try not to break it because you'd HAVE to find one off a...

Re: Bogging at idle when warm at stops - vacuum leak from booster? electrical?

A bit, I read it's supposed to read around 4.50 but the most you're likely to get it to read is around 4.0, haha

Re: Bogging at idle when warm at stops - vacuum leak from booster? electrical?

Ran more tests and hopefully fixed the issue- TPS tested fine with .56/.57 volts with key on, responded well when moved up to about 3.88 at WOT/as far as i could get the thing to open.

Cleaned...

Re: Bogging at idle when warm at stops - vacuum leak from booster? electrical?

Ran some tests on the car today- Holds vacuum at 16hg, stomping brakes doesn't affect the gauge, but stomping fast enough the car acts as if she'll stall. She was idling fine thru the stops in a...

Re: Bogging at idle when warm at stops - vacuum leak from booster? electrical?

Yea I was thinking about how it only happens when warm, maybe the leak doesn't happen when it's warm, but when the brakes & booster are "warm"...pedal's definitely hard tho, so I'm gonna look into...

Re: Bogging at idle when warm at stops - vacuum leak from booster? electrical?

I haven't, but the more I look into it the more I'm faulting the booster. Hard brakes, stumble at idle, I think I'll look into or replace it first. If that doesn't help I'll check those next, thanks...

Bogging at idle when warm at stops - vacuum leak from booster? electrical?

Hey guys, I've been trying to track this issue down on my 2.8 Sport Coupe but it keeps showing up. When the car first starts up and gets to a stop, she'll idle just fine. Once the car hits operating...

Re: Can't Hear Noise from Fuel Pump any more with key on

Re: 1982 Trans Am 305 cfi fuel pump issue
