I found the EGR temp switch 14087416 from this website. Call them and it is the correct length (approx 16 inch pigtail)

The EGR removed from the car was GM 17087262. I went ahead and purchased ACDelco 214-2268 Professional EGR Valve.

Thanks, yes that helps. Where can I get a GM parts book? Looks like this part is discontinued, might have to find one on ebay or the junkyard.

EGR Valve for 87 TPI

Is the EGR valve for an 87 305 TPI with a 5-speed the same as the automatic? I'm looking at 2 different AC Delco parts.

214-5538 seems to mention AT, not sure if that is automatic
214-2268 this...
