Re: FIRST TPI intake installation complete.

The Jegs branded Profiler 195s with a Comp 268XFI and Scorpion narrow body 1.6r rockers. Have the engine pulled now so I could clean things up a bit, replace freeze plugs, paint etc. Also got a TPiS...

Re: FIRST TPI intake installation complete.

Yeah, mine was fairly tight there too. I'll have to dig around a bit. Moved twice, have had 2 new phones, and built a new computer since I put my FIRST on but I am sure I have some pictures comparing...

Re: FIRST TPI intake installation complete.

It's been awhile, but I thought I compared the height of the two intakes at the point the brace crosses over and its pretty damn close to the same as I recall. But like I said, its been a good while...

Re: FIRST Intake 625 HP 650 TQ

Ah, they used a standard aviation fuel cap. Reason it was blank is there was no requirement to show capacity in the tank on a car's fuel cap like there is on the aircraft they're usually used on. ...

Re: SBC SINGLE TURBO PROJECT

I use this chart often at work. Nothing wrong with going up to larger wire, but to answer the other question the length does indeed have a large effect on amp carrying capacity, as well as voltage...

Re: Film-type MAF?

Doesn't CA (and most smog states) lawfully allow an engine swap from same year or newer model in to a car. I remember Nevada had a rule on that while I was living there I think. If you go EBL just...

Re: Icm relocation

Kind of like how they mounted the ICM on later models (S10 and 4th gens I think?) Always thought they made that change for the reason of the Distributer sometimes getting too much heat soak from the...

Good to see ya on here Ken. I wound up getting mine second hand. Although it did take a little tinkering, I feel I have gotten my throttle body working pretty well. I am convinced a number of my...

Re: tpi motor pics

I have been interested to see how the FIRST does with some boost. I am seriously considering going with a single turbo setup down the road as well. Thats a nice shine on that intake.

Re: tpi motor pics

It runs fine. Stronger than the stock TPI even. But seat of the pants feels like it is happier in an RPM range that the stock iron L98 heads and cam just can't support. Bit of a loss in off idle...

Re: Injector offsets for 24lb South Bay TPI injectors?

I think this should work. The "A" version I have in my screen shot is something I was tweaking and I don't remember what I changed lol. But this is the original XDF I found.

Re: BOSCH INJECTORS

I didn't think you could fit 2.02 valves into the 305 bore. Or if you were able to get heads machined to do it, there would be no real flow gain due to shouding by the smaller bore?

Re: Edelbrock High Flo tpi swap, afpr, new injectors, throttle body, ported plenum...

That 52mm throttle body may make the tip-in feel more lack luster. Way more than that motor needs, stock one honestly should flow more than enough still. Just a thought.
