Re: Cat Converter Rattling Noise

Well I don't think your going to do any more harm to the cats they sound like they are already shot.

The problem you might run into is these pieces in the cats restricting airflow so much that the...

Re: Help with open cleaner on carbed engine

Don't need it on an open air filter, it's not really a temp sensor either and really has no effect on how the engine runs.

Re: Expected Results of Replacing Timing Chain?

IMHO I wouldn't really expect any real noticeable gains, that is unless the chain is very stretched, but at that point you should hear it making all kinds of noise.

Makes sense. Not too into the whole car abuse thing and don't have a clutch to dump. May add a traction device of some sort, probably a posi. Running stock size street tires. May get a set of slicks...

Power that a stock drivetrain can handle

Just curious as to how much a stock drivetrain can take? My car is a 1987 iroc, not sure what the original engine was. Currently it has a pretty much stock 350, carbed, not a lot of get up and go. I...

Re: 4th Gen rear end swap

Pretty sure you would have to cut down the axle tubes and then get shorter axle shafts. Not the easiest job out there and will require a good amount of skill and/or money if your not setup to do it...

Re: 350 engine build

Well I've been thinking and if I'm going to build a new engine I should just do it right. I would like to get it done for about $2000, not including any machining that may need to be done. I can go a...

Re: 350 engine build

Well based on numbers like that I will be saving a little extra for a set of heads. I really want to get it to around 350 or 400 hp, and in that range for torque as well.

With that being said does...

Re: '84 Z28 won't crank when hot, does after cooling

Sounds like a starter to me too. My truck was doing the same thing. Starter gets heated up from the exhaust then won't work again until cool.
