Just did a similar swap. Used the complete 4th gen tank and lines up to the fuel filter. The stock feed line tire right into the filter.

All I had to do was wire the 4th gen fuel pump to the 3rd...

Got it fired up yesterday. Had to supply fuel through the intake to keep it running. Vats are enabled and I'm swapping in the 4th gen plastic tank....

I agree, Being I came across all my LT1/T56 stuff for a good price I'm going that direction. Had LS been more practical price wise, probably would have went that route. I wouldn't even be able to use...

Unfortunately I haven't started one yet .Right now it'd be so spread out and not updated frequently with the house. I'll probably start one up when I get moving on it again .

I'm doing this exact same swap almost down to the same car. Although mine got put on hold due to buying a house. I was luckily enough to find and drive home a 95 Formula with a T56 for a good price....

I'm in the same spot as you OP. From everything I've read, it's a drop in operation. Wiring is what throws some people off. Pocket has a how to for the harness that is pretty good. My understanding...

Engine harness from a 91 Trans Am GTA 350 Auto car. Missing the positive battery cable and the coolant temp sensor connector on the pass side head broke. A new pigtail for that connector...
