Re: Colector Item Rare contour fabric for sale !

Do you still have any of the red for sale by chance? My interior uses this fabric and is getting quite faded.

Re: Custom Ram-Air Hood Logistics

Very true. At any rate, probably not something I'll get to soon. The IROC's got a lot of other things that need attention first. But as soon as they get sorted out, hopefully I can actually try and...

Re: Custom Ram-Air Hood Logistics

This would be a great time to have a physics simulator to work with.

Re: Custom Ram-Air Hood Logistics

Exactly, using the shape of the louver recesses to create something like a NACA intake. Doing what you showed in the thread you linked to (it looks familiar, I may have read through it before) would...

Re: Custom Ram-Air Hood Logistics

red rock:

That is exactly my dilemma. Those ram air hoods look better on the Firebirds and even better on the 4th gens, but they just look out of place on our cars. Thanks for the words of...

Re: best non fbody that compliments your thirdgen

I need a truck and am looking at getting a Bronco, preferably one from the early '80s to '91. It was either that or a Blazer, and the Bronco pulls off the pickup/SUV look the best IMO. Wouldn't look...

Custom Ram-Air Hood Logistics

Now that I've been on these forums for about 8 or so months, I feel I should probably stop lurking and contribute some content. And this idea I've been pondering for quite a while seems like a good...

Re: Billet parts that you wish were made for 3rd gens

Louver headlight covers? I know they made them at some point, but they are hard to find.

Re: Custom Double Din Journey-New Faceplate Finally

Just Google, sorry. I posted it for a comparison. I'll keep looking, though. For both that and the font for the later years.

Re: Custom Double Din Journey-New Faceplate Finally

I admittedly don't know that much about solidworks or 3D printers. This is an insanely cool project, though. I can't wait to see the final product!

Re: Custom Double Din Journey-New Faceplate Finally

That's a good point about fonts. I'd think your best bet would be to scale down an image in Photoshop or something, but you might need to take a picture of the logo yourself to get a good enough...

Re: Custom Double Din Journey-New Faceplate Finally

My opinion: it would look better if it were more in the style of the colored IROC-Z logo on the bumper or the quarter-panels. But I do like the idea of having a logo there.

Re: No cig lighter, radio, dome light, hatch release

I have the same problem with the dome light, hatch release, and horn not working on my '86 Z28 IROC. They all worked initially, but seemed to just randomly stop working one day. Mechanic fixed them...

Re: What do you not like about your thirdgen?

Here's a small list:

There are lots of rattles from the interior and an annoying high-pitch vibration that starts when I hit 35-ish.
The power out of the stock 305 is pathetic.
The windshield...

Re: Ever think about making IROC hood louvers functional?

I've thought of doing this. I've also thought of doing something similar to what 84z28350 did:

Re: T-top to hard top conversion

I can't hate on t-tops too much, but it isn't any fun being under glass when it's 90+ degrees out and the sun is coming down strong. Having metal roof panels to swap out for the glass ones would be...
