Re: Ebay longtubes

Well 9 years later I finally bought a set to put into my 84 LT1/T56 car.
Looks like a few of the pictures have disappeared over the years so I will post mine.
The flanges have a 3/16" warp in them...

T5 5th gear interchangeability

I just pulled a worn out T5 1st gen trans out of my ride and replacing it with the second gen t5.
The 1st gen box has the .73 5th and the second gen has the .63.
Are the 5th gears interchangeable?

How thick was the leading edge where it meets the bumper?
If thick, was it hard to thin back down?

Re: Procar classic sport seats for 3rd gen Camaro / Firebird

Get a rear seat cover to match the front seats then I'll buy a set.
Considering rear seats are the same from 1982 to 2002 Procar should offer rear seat covers.

Re: V6 T5 to V8 clutch

There are a few vendors that sell 10.5" disks to go with 1" 14 tooth input shaft s10 T5's.
Summit has 2 and speedway has a few as well. Combine that with the v8 pressure plate and your good to go.

Re: Rear end out of line?

That's pretty common on these cars even if they have never been in an accident.
If it bothers you plenty of vendors sell adjustable track bars to correct the side to side measurements.

Re: 6.0 hook up to a 83 5speed?

Yes there ways to bolt the T5 up to the 6.0L but the trans will not live under the torque the 6L puts out.

A TKO600 or a T56 would make a nice match to the 6L.

I would recommend a PVC valve to replace one of your breathers. Might make the engine last a little longer without as much coke built up in the engine.

Re: Rear end in L69 car?
