@FRMULA88 Yes I've got the owners manual and the calibration kit. I've tried 12.5:1 at WOT all the way down to 10:1.

I have the exact same wot bogging issue with my Edelbrock 1806 carb. Still haven't gotten rid of it after adjusting all the various circuits. I would swap out to a Holley in a heartbeat if I had one.

I fit an RPM Air-Gap with an Edelbrock carb under a stock camaro hood. Air cleaner was a microscopic 1.5" x 6.5" non-drop base though.

You were correct. I just had to wait for the lifter to bleed off after tightening and idle would return to normal. I don't think the ticking has anything to do with the lifters.

Collapsed lifter?

Newly built engine with only about 1000 miles on it;

I've been hearing a ticking sound. I don't think noise is present right away on a cold start but will appear well before fully warmed up....

I just swapped out my 195 thermostat for a 180 and it has made a big difference like you said. Now my motor runs at 180-195. Yay!

I'm using a stock rated thermostat, I think its 190°. Stock radiator as well. "Puke tank" is filling up when hot lol. I never thought of getting a better radiator for my build. I'll do some research....
