What do you mean preference? The damn center sticks thru the wheel 1.5 inches. There is no preference there, you NEED 2'' spacers or it wont clear.

I'm running a 600 on mine. I'm 95% VE @ 5500 RPM (579.044 CFM).
I get ~500 hp and 530 ft/lb out of it....

I recommend mechanical choke vacuum secondaries,

Yeah I know how that goes. Was going to put a 355 in mine and just call its reliable and fun. Then it became a pissing contest and $5000 and 500hp later... Im just now looking for seats to "finish"...
