Great info, TTOP - thanx for that, the only complete explanation I've ever seen. Was not aware of the transmission rating issue, but informal queries about getting the manual transmission received...

Long time lurker here. Thanx for the kind words, guys - and the vicarious knowledge, advice, etc.

The 1991-92 hard-top/t-top issue was that the t-top with the L98 would not accommodate a manual...
