I have done some mild porting on intake, axel runners and plenum and my preference is to stay tpi looking.

so the question is does a high torque 383 match better with 2.77 or 3.73 gears for 1/4...

No suspension changes just welded sub frame connectors . Are there any fool proof suspension changes to gain traction or are they all install and adjust until optimum is reached.

So is it fair say without any other changes a change to 2.77 gears would improve 1/4 time with better traction and therefore reduce overall mph at end of 1/4?

3.73 is fun right now on street but highway driving is not.

You should use three belts to avoid slip. Windshield washer is for water meth injection.
If you remove the belt you should be able to run the car with air flowing through/ past blower. It worked...

During wot driving 3-5000 rpm afr 10-11
at stop light at 1500 rpm 15-16

you should be able to run low boost up to 6-7 psi without too many issues.

I installed my 383 vortec heads, with cc 269 camshaft. The engine produced 430 hp and 480 ft lbs peak numbers. The engine did not have accessories or ltr. The dyno run was with a 750cfm carb...
