Your pump probably burnt out so its not producing enough pressure. I had the same thing happen to me. I was driving and it dropped out of OD and into first opened it up and the pump was toast.

That makes sense, when my tank was vapor locking i had to switch that out but the parts guy told me it releases it pressure... cool learn something new

The cap does release some pressure but not enough, too much and it wont pass emission test. There is actually a three part system for vapor release. Removing the canister will rarely cause vapor...

The vapor canister has a charcoal filter at the bottom used to clean the vapors pulled from your tank. If you take it off you are gonna smell the fumes from the tank. You can delete but you will have...

Hey Mike just FYI Autozone just started selling paint specific for headers. It's ceramic paint comes on red blue white black...temp rating on its pretty high. It'll save you a buck on getting none...
