Rubber boot or not I can't slide the vale cover over. I had to take the alt. splattered and changed. the position on it. I'll post pics when I get a chance

yes, but it was easy to remove the pulley. I wrapped a strap around the pulley and used a socket and wrench. It was actually dealt easy. I will take some pic and post when I get home.

True but on mine 89' I had to remove the pulley first. I tried to just twist it but where the bolt holes are they extend down and hit each other. you can twist the top with the pulley on both ways...

I think some alts. are different. I was able to remove the bolts and turn the top, after I removed the pulley. I will post pics after I paint it.

is it possible to take the alternator apart and rotate it so it would mount up different and move my power stud away from my valve cover.

also when I ordered the FIRST asked for the bigger tb 76mm. I got the smaller 69mm. I was told that after 5000 rpm it just wasn't taking in any more air . Doese the tb have something to do with it,...

so I had it semi built with the 1st gen twisted wedge heads, 30 over, FIRST tpi and a a custom grind cam from comp cams. 212/224.. .487/.522. about 9:1. comp. I think,
