Hawks still offers the PBR set up as a kit as part of the 1LE brake package. A lot of guys roadrace with the 1LE set up as it still works with 16" wheels which I have....

By all accounts the PBR caliper with the fins on it is a much better caliper than the replacement GM caliper that was the other caliper offered on rear disc optioned 3rd gens. But I hear ya....

This is a super old thread. Im swapping my 9 bolt to a hopped up 10 bolt to get more gear ratio options. Is the gentleman still offering the bracket kits to mount PBR calipers to a 10 bolt? If not is...

On a 3 - 3.5 hr trip one way I have a drink in the cup holder I added in the console and it falls out of the ashtray. I actually need a second cupholder for my wifes drinks. I do have a Bluetooth...

Im looking for a 3:08 gearset..... I do know Hawks is now selling a 3:70 gearset. I called and they said that is the only ratio they have and at this point are not planning on adding any other...

Compared the handheld on the Fitech to the tach.....the car's tach reads 275rpm higher than the Fitech handheld.

Hmmm....I assumed it is a 3:45 because from what I read a 3:45 was the shortest gear that was available with a '89 305 tpi iroc. However that doesnt really stop anyone from swapping in something...

Hmmmm....That seems a little tall but isnt there a chart somewhere where you could calculate rpm?

3:42 or 3:45 whatever it is. It has stock 4 wh disc and 9 bolts on the cover....I counted. With the stock Iroc wheels and 245 50 16s at 75 mph in 5th Im at 2750 rpm Id like to be around 2000.

It's a 3:42 sorry....but anyway as far as I know the 9 bolt only came with a 3:42 in a third Gen

My Iroc has a 3:42 5 spd. The 400 sbc has over 500ft/lbs the car buzzes down the hwy too much it's not a drag racer. Normal sources dont have a 3:08 for this rearend. Anyone know of one? thanks

I can only find them in 8" widths. It seems you have to get up to 22" dia to get 10.

This is the lowest part of the system, back by the rearend. That cup is 4.5" high. The car has original (somewhat sacked?) stock springs.

There is the rest of the system. The 3" Y with dual 3" Magnaflow cats then 3.5" all the way to the muffler which is a Spintech 3.5" in with dual 3" out and 4" tips. Yes I know you can make more power...

He cut the 2.5" collectors off. Those are dual 3" Magnaflow cats and the start of the 3" Y pipe.

I run a WC T5 for now. For collector clearance my guy cut off the ear on the bell housing and installed this Howe hyd throw out bearing
