Re: Intercooler video

Pretty straight forward. More of a steady state test than a true performance pull type test but shows what it needs to show

cooler size and construction makes the difference.

Been doing a lot of reading lately.

So my intercooler is a "delta fin" design, which apparently is some weird idea companies came up with around the late 2000s. The idea was a compromise between tube fin and bar and plate, but a lot of threads online appear to indicate that it causes flow restrictions in high CFM applications. This makes sense.

I have a very similar air to water core to the one show in the video. I think I may try swapping over to that and do some testing. I'm hoping that this might solve another issue I'm having, where on the highway my intercooler is blocking flow to my radiator and the coolant temp is heating up a little higher than I'd like on a .060 over 400.

Re: Intercooler video

Cant say i have seen one like that. Interesting.

thats the nice thing about air water. They can be smaller and not be in direct airflow paths so no blocking of rad etc
