Roadkill turbo datsun
Quick question for those of you familiar with the youtube show Roadkill, they built their chevy 4.3l v6 datsun with a 7.3l turbo a while back. Anyway does anyone know if they kept it electronic and tuned it or is it carburated?

Re: Roadkill turbo datsun
Thanks, yeah i saw that on the subaru challenge. My brother has a blown 7.3 with a good turbo on it. My 305 tbi is no longer my dd so i got to thinking about their setup, the way i see it is if a 6 cyl 4.3 could spool it, why not a 8 cyl 5.0?

Re: Roadkill turbo datsun
If you have one not a bad run. Be warned the upgrade paths for them are limited even if you change the turbo. The scroll is in the opposite of the typical direction which means plumbing needs to get redone if you want to go bigger than a 66 or so. Stuff with the stock size compressor tends to make low 400rhwp on a Ford 5.0 so if you're fairly comfortable with that power range go for it.
You may be able to give it enough fueling with some 454 injectors or crank the pressure up on yours, but it may be better to TPI swap or get another intake for a fuel system.

If i do it its gonna be more of a just for fun type thing, extremely budgeted, so used carb intake, used carb, biggest thing would be plumbing it
