Fuel pressure safety switch, WOT switch, Window switch, Bottle heater, purge solenoid, colder plugs, higher octane gas, two degrees of timing removed for every 50 shot is usually a place to start. This is all stuff on top of what would come in a kit. Probably would need to know a little bit more about your setup and what you're looking to do to give a more accurate assessment of everything you will need.

Re: Nitrous all safety precautions?
Hi
been doing the NOS thing for over 30 years.
the kit makers now include things they did not years ago. but look close. at the kits and what they come with.
the 2 basics..
Full throttle safty switch.. this switch only lets the nos power on when your foot is to the floor.
Fuel Pressure safty switch shuts off nos when fuel Pressure is under a pre set pressure amount...they have 2 types.. pre set..and variable setting.
the above to saftys are wired into the power to the solenoids... very easy
have seen one made that also shuts it down under 875PSI bottle pressure.
i my self run the first 2 saftys...
hope this Helps.

Re: Nitrous all safety precautions?
My setup is gonna be a 100-175 shot on a 350 for now but will be swapping to a lq4 with forged bottom end and will be spraying 200shot with that one. Im building my own kit so not buying no complete kit.
As for the fuel pressure safety switch how do those exactly work? I looked it up but not sure exactly which one i would need for efi or are the ones for carb and efi the same?

Re: Nitrous all safety precautions?
my experience with fuel pressure safety switches are they will eventually crack and spray fuel all over the engine. also, the engine will have most likely already nosed over by the time the switch cuts the system off, so if you pay attention you can lift before the switch would have done anything anyway.
pull the correct amount of timing for the shot size
cooler, non-projected tip sparkplugs on the 150+ shots
heat the bottle to 900-950psi
use purge solenoid to bring pressure down to 900 just before making a pass
set fuel pressure correctly on the nitrous kit if its a wet system
run a wide open throttle switch
run a window switch ~3,000-6,000rpms or whatever
use only crimped braided lines for your nitrous side. high high high pressure.

Re: Nitrous all safety precautions?
I've been thinking about spraying aswell! I seen a ZEX safe shot kit that delivers a 15-35 boost. Just want it more for looks and show but also want to be able to use it properly aswell. Does anyone have any reviews on this system?
