Treadstone TR1245 Intercooler
My new intercooler came the other day after a long back order and I must say this thing looks pretty good. I'll be updating this tread as time goes with the install and final testing. For now though I have some pics of the unit itself. I'll be trying to mount this thing straight up compared to my procharger intercooler that's mounted horizontal. I already removed the front triangle support bar that would get in my way when I did my cam change, hopefully it will fit right in.
Link to the intercooler http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...rcooler++860HP I got it from Modern Automotive Performance, and had it priced matched for $315 or so plus international shipping.

Re: Treadstone TR1245 Intercooler
Here's some pics of how I have it mounted, don't know if helps or not. Just thought I'd share.
Got it to fit behind the bumper with minimal trimming. I should probably remove the center liscense plate section, but it just seems like I would be butchering it too much.

Looks good, thanks for sharing. Thats the basic idea how mine will sit if it all works out. How do you find your intake temps with that setup, any recorded data?

Re: Treadstone TR1245 Intercooler
Some data for you... I have the big 1300 hp treadstone.
Last year I recall seeing 12-13 psi, using fast acting open element IAT, i was seeing 25 deg rise on intake temps
Today we tested my car on the dyno, it was 55-60 deg today ambient. I was on 16-17 psi. We saw 35-40 deg rise in temps! Not good. Thats only 770whp but through the big automatic and converter... Big fan in front blowing cool air.
that aint no 1300 hp but still a good intercooler for most street builds.

Re: Treadstone TR1245 Intercooler
That's some good data there, thanks for sharing. Have you ever tested the temps after the turbos? My D1SC would jump to 350* at around 10-12 psi and now that I'm pushing 15-16 psi it probably go over 400* . Let's just say the intercooler has it work cut out for it lol! I guess any gain over the 3 core procharger would be a bonus.
Glad to see you finally got the car running, I'll be looking forward for the track videos!
