Novi2000 on 383 HSR or 383 LT1

I need some advise because I am really torn as to what to build. I bought a custom novi from fstfbdy for either a tpi or lt1. My HSR has dart heads, roller conversion, and c950 ecu. The LT1 I have is stock and I have both aluminum and iron heads I can use for it. Both motors would need a forged lower end with around 9.1 compression for the blower. I also have a 5.3 harness, coils, and sensors that I could modify to work with either motor using eficonnection pieces to operate a ls1 ecu. I can tune the c950 pretty good, but I know I can do better with the ls1 ecu and hptuners. If I build the LT1, I will definitely do the 24X, not so sure about the HSR yet. Here is a list of the possible combos I would do.

1- My current motor with forged lower end and c950 ecu
2- My current top end and cam(242/248), but a roller block with 24X conversion because of the timing cover.
3- 383 LT1 with mild port work on either heads and 24X conversion.
4- Something I am missing?

My power goal would be 500-550 rwhp at about 6000 rpm with a fmic and maybe WM injection. Cost wise, the LT1 would be more up front to build, but I could part out my current motor to offset most, if not all of the cost. I just am unsure what motor would be the best to use. Thanks for the help, I really do appreciate it.

Re: Novi2000 on 383 HSR or 383 LT1

Drive the car as is and piece the new comb together.
Get a nice little M dart block. or the SHP.

Built the lower end, toss your heads, hrs on it. Keep the c950 setup since ya have it.

24x conversion cost alot plus a good set of lt1 heads . I feel your already ahead of the game with your top and and ecu setup

Hell for your goal you realistacally could just do a factory gm block and be find untll the BOOST bug gets ya and you want to run more. So just get a SHP or Little M now.

Ditto, you already have a damn good top end with the HSR and dart heads. Run what you have for now and start putting together a forged shortblock.

Get that thing together and post up some pics.
