Well if it's hidden, you're not really going to see much are you

Re: Hidden Nitrous system.

I've thought of a 'sneaky pete' setup.. wouldn't be overly difficult.

Re: Hidden Nitrous system.

I was thinking of mounting and runing the line under the Super Ram right where the EGR block off plate is. Bottle powercoated black and mounted in the spare tire area in the trunk. I would want a rpm window switch.

Just wanted to see if anyone had some better ideas. Now I just need to see if the drivetrain can handle this.

Re: Hidden Nitrous system.

im drilling into the back of the block above the bell housing and running hard lines to the intake ports. havent decided yet if it'd be a good idea to keep the solenoids in the motor or not. i'm going to have the max hp pill size in the nozzles and regulate the hp rated flow by a seperate pill block somewhere by the trans. at least thats the plan so far haha

Re: Hidden Nitrous system.

anyone who knows how to mount hidden systems would be keeping their mouth shut Also I know of 4 places in a thirdgen to put a bottle that has never been found while racing . But of course I wouldn't run nitrous cough cough

Re: Hidden Nitrous system.

I had friend runing a bottle (not a 10lb) in the passenger door. with the door panel on you can't tell. A small rubber gasket on the under side of the was a way to fill the bottle or to turn it on. worked for years tell he was caught.

I like the idea of the holes above the bellhousing, but would run the solenoids like inside the car right on a 90* fitting that went throught the firewall then all you need is a small braided house from firewall to block. with flex line from the block fitting and the hard line blocks the intake could be removed.

Re: Hidden Nitrous system.

This might sound like a stupid idea. I just thought it up reading thist thread. But what if you could customize the gas tank(chop it) then where you chopped it put the bottle in there make it look like a gas tank without anyone even noticing!!
I'm so glad I have an overactive imagination makes me want to do it myself

Re: Hidden Nitrous system.

that is crazy but I did know a guy that had a fuel cell under the car that had a area to mount a big bottle seperate from fuel. And bottles come in so many sizes I could mount a few under the rear spears in the huge whole from fender to sheet metal that holds the speakers

Re: Hidden Nitrous system.

Heres some bottle mounting places i've been thinking about...

1. Get rid of your ac/heat box and mount it inside/under the dash.
2. Go to a fuel cell and have a box under the car for the bottle.
3. In the spare tire/t-top well in the trunk, then put some kind of removable plate over it.
4. Small bottle could be mounted in the door.
5. Cut a plastic fuel cell in half, take out the foam, put a 5lb motorcycle bottle in it, cover the nitrous line with wireloom or something.

These are just random spots off the top of my head, the all have problems, but hey, maybe you can make one work.

Re: Hidden Nitrous system.

I am going to have my chassis guy make up a aluminum mount that will bolt in without to much change to the car and hold the bottle on a 45* angle in the spare tire area.

I don't need hidden like in cheating in races but like in show car can see in in the engine comparment.

So I was going to end up using my TB plate. A guy at the shop said if I used hard line to the plate and mount the solenoids under the intake. Then slide ruber tube over the hardlines and a ruber elbow. I bet 90% of people will have no idea.
