I'm not sure if this was what 25THRSS meant or not, but on the other side of the spare tire well, where the small lockable compartment is, that space would allow you to mount the bottle unseen, AND keep the spare tire!
Well, I havent mounted it myself there yet, so I don't know for sure it would fit, bit it would be worth a try. Of course, you would have to take out the cardboard box in there, perheps if you do it carefully, it could be mounted back if you wanted to sell the car.

No, I was talking about the deep space behind the gas tank where some people might put groceries or something of that nature. Can't think of the correct name right now. It would be a big pain in the *** to take the bottle out and put it back in the spare tire well for refilling, besides my battery is back there now anyways.

You could be right Ross, I havent tried. I just thought it might work since it seemed to work on the right side.... At least there is room on the right side where the spare wheel goes, I took it out and it seemed to fit well. Although I didn't put back the plastic pieses... oh well.
Don't you guys ever eat at home? Or do you eat at McDonald's constantly? Mysef I need to get groceries every other day, and where should I put that if the N20 bottle is taking up all the intended space?
I'm not too convinced about it not getting nicks and dents when a pal suddenly decides to slam his gear in your trunk. I think it should be at least somewhat separated or protekted from the chainsaws and other stuff that frequently could go back there. Especially if one is a rednekk I guess.
I had a small outboard there myself this fall, and luggage when I'm on holiday...
I do have a plan for how to do both though, if it don't fit inside the left compartment area, I will try to mount it on the right side, on top of the raised metal area just before the plastic stuff. It would have to be some creative bracketry though.

Tilstad I did my share of street racing so hideing the bottle was important. I even own two five pound bottles. One can fit in the pass side door if need be or under the dash pass side. I have also seen a fake tool box with a 10lbs bottle in it.Besides the rear well fits the battery and a 2gal fuel cell for race fuel for the dedecated fuel system on the nitrous then a custom speaker box with one 10" woffer have it hingid so that you can acess it and a faulse floor under the woffer just incase someone wants to look.

I always thought mounting 4 tiny bottles in the seat was pretty sweet... Though you may be able to fit 'em under the seat lol

It had to be a real tiny bottle to go under the seats. Have you ever seen the small space under there? It's like you have problems getting your hand in and picking up a coin..

I dont like mine too far from reach.
I do however want a remote valve eventually and possibly move it to the back

i don't have nitrous, but it is an option for me for this summer, but either way i know exactly where my bottle will go. right inbetween the rear seats. and its gonna be a sleeper location. i plan on mounting it there, and then gettign an old duffle bag and ripping a hole in the bottom, and putting it over. you get a tiny bit more temporature control and stealth at the same time. and its within reach so no remote bottle valve neccessary. who's gonna question a duffle bag sitting inbetween your rear seats?

unless you have a steel braided line running to the back "trunk area" and bottle brackets back there it wont be very sleeper like if you pop your hood. dont know about you but when i run for money i physicly check to make sure there is no bottle or i make the owner un hook the line at the solenoids.

I've watched people have to clean up piles of clothes so others could look for bottles. Depends on how experienced the other racers are.

I still need other options on where to mount mine. The spare tire well is used by most F-body owners, so people naturally want to check there first.

If you buy a small enough bottle, or a couple of them and connect them together, you could mount them almost anywhere. Like doors, inside seats, inside console, dashboard, inside a spare tire, a boom box, inside of the body where the speakers go etc etc. I have heard of racers having bottles in the oilpan, so they could run every line inside the engine.
Of course if your talking a full size bottle, your limited and most places have been mentioned already.
Those that want to go the extra mile to not get caught using N20, would fabricate parts to allow a tiny bottle inside. Like a dual row radiator, it could hide a bottle. Serious racers to this kind of stuff all the time, like making a ford 9 inch rear look like a 10 bolt chevy and such.
A real sleeper trick would be to buy one of those fake NOS bottles which is actually a sub woofer, and mount a real, only smaller NOS bottle inside it. Thats trick.
Be sure to have some fluoresent interior lighting to keep up with the impression of ricy interior dressup parts.

I like the sneeky pete bottle, it is a TINY bottle that you could mount in your console if you wanted. No one would ever think to look for a bottle that small, onlhy downside is you would have to refill after 1 or 2 races

Your bottle pressure is going to go down quick, even with a 2lb.
I'd say the minimum bottle size you'll want to run would be a 5lb. That's just my opinion though.

paint the bottle red and put a sticker of a fire-extinqiser(spelling) on it.
"yeah, it's an automatic fire-extinqiser, if there's a fire under the hood it automaticely turns on"
