It's Alive!
After ummm... ahhhh... a really long time, the Z28tt V2.0 is alive! (insert maniacal laughter here). We fired up the new engine today, and it sounds awesome. Somehow it idles steadily at 675 rpm <shrug> and 12" vacuum (w/ the 236/230 cam, AFR 210's, 400 cid Dart Little M, and Accel Pro-Ram) but when I bring it up to 1500 rpm, vacuum goes up to 15" hg. As the oil warmed up, the idle pressure slowly steadied around 20 psi (which I'm sure will drop as the engine breaks in, has .003 bearing clearances). No leaks anywhere, and the turbos sound mean (with just the Y-pipe and no cat back). Next is cutting the back of the dash out to clear the cage, and putting the interior back together.

Mark, the LSA is 113, and it's still with the 2 TO4E's, .58AR. It's either 50 or 60 series P or O trim (gotta check specs). It is definitely road race oriented, with the Koni double adjustables, Ground Control adj spring perches, 8 point cage, and Herb Adams decoupled torque arm, but should handle drag racing a few times a year. The 9" spool w/ 35 spline axles will get swapped for a set of 31 or 33 axles and a Black Gold or similar diff, but one thing at a time
