Post Your Stealth Nos Setups!!!

Ok..I know everybody has seen nos set-ups before but I dont think there has been a post for just STEALTH nos set-ups. Right now Im just "learning" about nos and how it works. Im really interested in seeing where people "hide" the bottle. Ive seen the pics of people putting them in where the spare tire is and down in the bottom of the trunk. But has anybody (please dont hammer me with hate posts....) put nos bottles in "modified" passenger/back seats. Meaning you "fabed" seats to "hide the bottle." YES..Ive got the movies Fast and the Furious on my mind....sorry Granted if it cant be done....thats it...end of story. Id really like to know that theres a few people out there that mounted the bottle in someplace other than where the spare tire goes or in trunk..... Im not knocking where you guys put the bottle but I just like to see "one of a kind" setups. Meaning something different....

Again...please dont hammer me for bringing up "Fast and the Furious."

athough i think he was full of ****.

other then him, everyone has either had it in plain sight, or mounted where the spare tire was

I dont know for sure if I could call the flag on that.... Does it sound believable...not really. I couldnt picture a full size bottle stored there....I could picture a small one there but would it be worth the time and effort to install it there??????

this might be a somewhat redundant post due to the fact that a "stealth nitrous system" would entail a streetracer "ahem" in mind... and most of those guys dont post what they have especialy spray. maybe youll get lucky and a few guys will post, but good luck

TwinTurboROC~ When I first posted this I thought Id get a hugh response.. But as time has gone by Ive slowly come to realize that what I wanna see and what people will show me are two completely different things. Oh well.... I thought...and I could be wrong that RU-Quik (not sure if I spelled his name right) had a stealth setup on his car... I'll have to do some searching.

Right now Id be thrilled to hear about somebody mounting the bottle in a place OTHER than in the trunk, in place of the spare tire or in the back seat.

Take it for what it's worth....back in my younger days, my 67 Chevelle SS had a nitrous system.....and it saw it's fair share or street action....

Instead of hiding the bottle get "Creative"

I picked this up from an old street racer at the time...

Have TWO bottles. One is real ( hidden ) and one is the "dummy" bottle. To pull this off, you need lines that AT LEAST look like they connect to the dummy bottle. Then UNHOOK the lines from the dummy bottle.

When asked if spraying....I would tell 'em that one of my solenoids went to crap so I unhooked the bottle until I could get it fixed.

Worked EVERYTIME....

Places to hide the bottle....

Mount it under where the bottom of the rear seats normally go. When the seat is folded down, you wouldn't be able to tell at all.

In one of the rear panels in the hatch area.

I know a guy who had a big ugly speaker box in the hatch of his T/A....turns out he was hiding his big blue bottle unside the box

i heard that a ny "racer" used to hide a sneaky pete in his cage... had a removable panel.... ran the lines down the main hoop thru the SFC's (caged was attached directly to the sfc's) then in the engine bay.... the other details i cant remember.... like i said i heard about this.... did not see it first hand....

i heard theres a sneaky pete (or some other "Sneaky" brand) that can be hidden inside of doors. never seen them though, maybe its just a myth...plus i dont know how easy it would be to run NOS lines through the door and to the engine bay

Well i plan on running an under-manifold shot of nitrous, probably a 250 progressive.

ive seen some of the mounting locations, and my fav. is in the back under the sub boxs... but thats where im planning on putting my fuel cell...

so i will probably wind up putting it behind the panel in the trunk area, where everyone else seems to like it. then since my fuel cell lines will run the the back of the intake from a holley blue, no one will ever even see the nitrous or fuel lines. selenoids will be mounted before the firewall...

this is all of course, what i plan on doing. and as it goes, what i plan on doing, and what i actually do, are two different things. i would have this DONE by now if my regulator didnt crap out and cost me another $200 in fuel system components...

the lines I dont think would be tooooo big of a problem....Id like to think that IF this was possible you could run the nitrous lines where the wiring harness is for the door. The only reason why I think this is is because who wants to take their whole door panel off just to refill the bottle????

Don't flame me if I'm wrong.... but wasn't it Smokey Yanuck who was famous for hiding Nitrous in his rollcage? Not quite sure how that was done... I can't imagine he just filled the cage itself....?? Anyone know more about this?

i dont think the hard part is hiding the bottle. jus gotta be creative. id say the hard part would be to hide whats under the engine bay. people always wanna see what u got under the hood.

my stealth setup. can u find it. most thirdgeners would point it out. some people say, "What's that a spacer." i say yeah.

BORLAZ06~ I REALLY like the way ran the nitrous lines....it took me a minute or two to actually see them. Very trick. I take it those lines go right between the throttle body and the upper plenum???? Since you're willing to show us your setup would you be willing to show us where the bottle is hidden as well???

Jason~ Yes that IS the post I was referring to. I was gonna PM you about it because I couldnt find the thread by searching. Thanks for posting a direct link.

How r you guys mounting the bottle in the spare tire compartment? I don't have a clue as to where to drill the holes for the brackets.

Thanks for the pics BorlaZ06. I take it the bottle is placed where the spare tire is??? Im learning a lot from you guys but Im still have a lot to learn about nitrous setups... Also what does MS stand for??

Im a little confused about your setup vs. Jason's. I'll post a pic so you know exactly what Im talking about. Jason were those nitrous lines custom made? Your setup looks pretty mean!!!!

there is a nitrous switch thats located in the car. when that switch is armed and you put the pedal to the metal, the throttle hits the microswitch and nitrous is activated.

I run a supercharger but if I wanted to hide a bottle I would build a subwoofer enclosure w/ some cheap crap woofers or some blown out ones and hide the bottle in there. or if you can hide the bottle below the sub enclosure.
