Don Barnett, Tory Hess where are you guys??

What's up with your guy's rides lately?

I havent seen either of you post in quite a while and was wondering how tuning was going on both your rides.

Im stuck in themiddle of a teardown right now. I think we popped a head gasket. I bought a smaller spring for my wastegate so that I can get get tuning at lower boost since Im having some trouble with high boost. Ive seen 30psi a few times. It didnt like it. It gets waaaay too rich on 18psi.

Im hoping to have her back together early next week for some street duty.

I also wanted to clue you guys into the big sendoff in November. AKA last race of the year AKA www.thundershootout.com

There is a class our cars fit into called Pro Outlaw. Hell Don since you still have a stock block, you might be able to fit into Modified Stock Power Adder which isnt going to be quite as extreme as Outlaw.

Id love to see some more thirdgens show up. There were only two of us at the north vs. south shootout in Bowling Green on May 31st, and the other guy has an LT1 with spray on it. Ran good though!

Good point. I got the FEEL that it was a 'stock block' type of class though.

I still think they should have kept it factory ECM for that class. That really is a large point where outlaw type cars and modified stock type cars differ I think.

But.. whatever.

Jimmy, you got me thinking now. So much that I even posted the question.

Can I enter Modified Street P/A???

Hmm. I still have commercially available 23* heads, a forward facing TB. Even have a hydraulic camshaft as well.

Interesting.
