Official Introduction Time!
Well I have lurked around these forums for over a year now, peicing together information on the world of Third Gen Camaros, and I figure I might as well have an actual intro!
Personal:
Name: Aleister
Age: 20
Location: Fort Lewis, WA
Profession: U.S. Army
Car:
Year: 1991
Model: Camaro RS
Color: Primer Gray
Engine: (recently seized) L03 v8
Transmission: Freshly rebuilt World Class T-5
Rear End: Freshly built 10 bolt, 97 firebird 28 spline Torsen LSD, 3.43 gears
Brakes: Disk front, Drum rear
Suspension: Eibach Sportlines, Wonderbar, 3-point Strut tower brace, various other odds and ends
My passion revolves around Autocross and Drift events, and you can find me at Evergreen Speedway most weekends for an Open Drift day.
As I said up top, My 180,000 mile L03 recently (2 days ago) Blew its head gasket on the highway, dumped its oil pressure, and seized the engine. Car was stranded on I-90 for the night before I could find a place to store her. Being 200 miles from home, there was no way to be able to flatbed tow it home.
I will be going on a short Deployment to the Pacific soon, and when I come back, the long process of getting a fresh engine in her will begin. If anybody would like to give any advice or assistance in this, feel free to talk to me! I'm excited to get involved in the Third Gen community here in the PNW, And try and share my journey building an Auto-X / Drifter!
