SpeedMu11et goes no-prep racing, Cincy Street Nights recap!

Hey guys, long time no posts! late last month i made a trip down from MD to Cincinnati for the Cincy Street Nights Friday night and Saturday racing thing they had. I had a really good time and actually made it to the finals in the True Street class on Saturday. I did a video, since that's the hip thing to do these days, covering some of the event and my racing efforts. Check it out and maybe give me a subscribe for posterity's sake haha.

So your best that race was 9.55@144?
Wow mph!
Looks like you need front limiters and better struts in the front, keep that front down.

Wheelies are cool, but hard on the car

correct, best pass of the weekend was a 9.55 at 144. it's got afco shocks and struts all the way around. i just had them set really loose. the car was working on the none prepped surface so it was hard to make myself turn it down any to get it to go forward instead of up.

i'm headed to my last event of the season next week. i've got a clutch tuneup in my head that's gonna be killer. got the efi a little more dialed, the air is gonna be amazing, etc. i'll be clicking those struts down tight haha

I am just getting a chance to watch your video now. I agree with everything you said in the intro. I, just like you, and not fond of being on camera as I just didn’t have that around when I was growing up, especially in the garage. I take videos while I’m working on something or racing the car, but they are usually just clips and for my own reference later on. Nobody watches my stuff, and it’s probably because I don’t know the first thing about editing or making fancy overlays. Seems I’m 10-15 years in the past. However. Good job with yours. It’s more entertaining to watch a “story” than a clip. Maybe I’ll get there one day !

as for the car and racing, That car leaves hard! I am jealouS ! Stick shift and all, pulling wheelies like crazy!

how do you have your 2-step wired up? Is it on a button on the shifter or the steering wheel ? Is it setup with a switch or a sensor ?

aside from the load leveler on the truck and trailer, do you think that a set of “helper air bags” might keep the rear and from
squatting down so much ? I don’t yet own a trailer but I have a 2005 Dodge Ram also a 2wd like yours and I had considered a set of air bags for eventually when/or I get a trailer

Thanks a bunch! yeah the car leaves pretty hard for sure. the 2-step switch is an Omron limit switch, mounted on a bracket near the clutch pedal and is 100% adjustable.

It actually has a set of bags in it, and were set to 60psi in this vid lol. i should have mentioned that but the hitch comment was sort of a last moment tid-bit. my bags are the cheaper kit from Air Lift. no on-board compressor. just a Schrader valve for each bag. i fill them up after the load is on, then drain them when i unload lol. this was a pretty long trip for me, so i brought more supplies than i normally would have.
