Results Swapping Intake Manifolds

My car has now run a best of 13.23 @ 103.9 on a 1.94 60'

My winter plans are to up my converter, as I think it is really limiting my 60' times.

In the mean time, we have 1 more race this year, and I was considering swapping to a better intake manifold.

Stock L98 short block, LT4 cam, Vortec heads, 9.8:1 compression

I am currently running a Summit Stage 1 intake, I am looking at swapping to an Edelbrock Performer RPM, but was curious if anyone has done a before and after on this type of swap and was it worth the trouble.

Thanks in advance!

Aren't the Summit intakes just rebadged Weiand intakes? The stage 1 is probably the equivalent to the Weiand Street Warriors.....
I doubt swapping to an RPM would be worth it. I'd guess MAYBE 10hp with your current power level.

Re: Results Swapping Intake Manifolds

Go for the Performer rpm Airgap. And if you have room under the hood add a 1" open spacer.

Watch this.....

i was fairly certain the intakes were professional products intakes, but i may be wrong.

the stage 1 is supposed to be the equivalent to edelbrock's "performer" intake. this intake is also known to most as a stock replacement intake with or without egr provisions. it's a great intake for someone wanting to clean up the engine bay and lose a little weight (assuming the stock intakes in most of these cases are iron).

the performer rpm/performer rpm air gap is a known performer and proven time and time again to see decent gains over the regular performer intake.

no, i do not believe it will be a waste of time. it will be especially noticable/necessary once the converter/longtubes go on the car.
