ok, i know my '79 Firebird isnt exactly a thirdgen, but its darn close. But just for the heck of it, i was wondering what you guys think it would do in the 1/4. Its got a 301ci engine with the stock rochester 2 barrel carb. LoL, i know you guys are probably on the floor laughing right now, i'll admit its dog slow. The only mod i've done to it is replace the factory single exhaust with a Flowmaster true dual exhaust system. Sounds great, but still dog slow, lol. oh, and its got 2.73's in the back. Factory rated this car had 140hp and 240lbs tq. It weighs around 3600 with me.

301 isn't a very powerful engine. Don't expect much.

Hi I'm new to the site and am looking into getting a 5.7L 1992 Z-28 (getting rid of the '97 V-6). I have heard a lot of different 1/4 mile times for this car. So I was wondering what 1/4 mile times this car would run stock. Oh and what are the best mods for this car.
