just thought i'd share with everyone. My best time from last week was 15.85@85mph with a clogged fuel filter and the car was missing really bad. So i replaced the fuel filter and got a tuneup and ran a best of 15.32@88mph with an outstanding 2.077 60-ft time. Me and this '88 IROC-Z 305/5-speed kept ending up racing each other and i won 3 outta 4. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do next for a big mod? I'm thinkin an AFPR should do me good, and theres a swap meet coming up on the 31st, i'll try to find some Edelbrock headers...

Definattely a torque converter,shift kit and cold air.An AFPR(46PSI)will also help.If you havent done them already free mods like porting your plenum,bypassing throttlebody coolant,adjusting TPS voltage(.54-56)and removing screens from your MAF sensor.If you want big mods,swapping that $hitty cam out, haveing your heads and base ported,(or new heads and base)24lb injectors, add large tube runners along with the headers will turn your 305 into a screamer.How much money do you want to spend.

well i have $1500 in the bank, but i have to save most of it because i'm getting a new car for graduation and my dad said he'd match whatever i have the bank for a down payment. SO i'm gonna use whatever i save up between now and march 31st to get parts at the swap meet. I'll look into a converter and headers. Later on down the road i might get a SLP cam that i saw in Jegs. What stall RPM converter should i get? 2000?
all i plan on doing with this is getting into the mid-low 14's...nothing drastic
