1/4 mile time estimates?
91 RS 305 TBI to 350 vortec
So recently I swapped out my old 305 tbi for a carbed 350 vortec here's my new set up.
Holley 650 4 barrel carb
Edelbrock Performer
Rebuilt vortec 350 block from a 97 1500 silverado(forged internals)
Vortec heads
Cam specs
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-08-450-8/
Hooker shorties 2460s followed by 3" piping
2500 stall converter
Around How many horses am I pushing?
What numbers am I looking at? And would I be able to take on
Mustang gts? Because that was nearly impossible with my stock 305 lol
I'm still in the engine break in period so I can't really go get my numbers yet and the curiosity is killing me

I'd say some where between 11.0 and 15.0... give or take a few tenths.

Go to the track and find out. It's fun, and you'll know exactly what it'll do that day. Already see a miss-matched combo so who knows.

What do you mean mismatched combo?
Are you talking about the heads and the valve lift on the cam?
Id go to the track if i could but im still in the break in period of the engine so i don't want to run it yet

Definitely need more info on the cam (duration, LSA,etc.) and an idea of the compression ratio you think you have. Rear gears would help too. The mismatch (in my eyes) is going to be the shorty-headers and the 2500RPM stall converter. Also, what intake manifold?

Re: 1/4 mile time estimates?
I have an edelbrock performer, stock gears although i plan on swapping them by the time i go to the track but theres really no point atm since i cant run it at the track just yet and itl down me another $300 from my budget.
What gears do u recommend? would the 3.73s be right for this set up?
The compression should be in top shape since its a rebuilt engine but i don't have any numbers to show.
As far as the cam
heres the specs

Re: 1/4 mile time estimates?
Forget about the break in period, run it. From mile 3 on my engine 7 years ago, it hasn't been babied. Spend a few min here and have a read so you can decide yourself. http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm The converter is probably too tight for that cam, still don't see what gears you're running but 3.73's will help. Intake isn't that great and not really sure about how that cam will work with the heads.
