Autocross videos
Here are some short videos I took yesterday from our club's (Autocrossers Incorporated) event at FedEx Field in Maryland. These were done on a little digital camcorder mounted on top of the rear hatch on my '82 Camaro (L98, T10, GC weight jackers, headers, 17X10s with 315 Kumho V710s in the rear, 16X10s with 275/45/16 Hoosiers in front).
My fastest run.
My friend Eric who co-owns the car with me, about 2 tenths faster than me.
Sam Strano on a fun run perhaps reminiscing about the car that won him is first Solo national championship.
I actually was faster than Sam by a tenth of a second, although he hasn't driven the car in awhile and only took two runs. Wait, why am I making excuses for this hack?
We actually had three -- THREE! -- thirdgens show up. In addition to my car, Tim, AKA Lo-Tec from here, brought out his '84 Camaro, and a guy who usually runs with us brought out his LT1 '92 RS.

Re: Autocross videos
That is pretty awesome. Do you have any pictures of your car? I just recently made the jump from F-stock to STX because of the Corbeau Forza seats I installed. I'm loving the extra control I have... now to get some Koni's on the car.

Here's one from earlier this year:
Here's one of my favorite pictures (me actually driving it 5 years before I owned it):
I ran my old '90 Firebird in STX for awhile. It was just too phat to compete with all the little ferren cars. Although that was 4-5 years ago and tires, like the Bridgestone Potenzas, are a bit stickier now.

Re: Autocross videos
That's a nice looking car... always had a thing for black thirdgens. What kind of power is that thing making to pull the wheel like that? I know it was accelerating out of a turn so that helped it along, but wow.
This is only my second year autocrossing... started when I turned 16. So I'm still getting my feet wet. However, a lot of the "pros" in my area are amazed at the progress I'm making. I started racing my dads '01 Dodge Dakota Sport Quad Cab. Can you say body roll??

As are MR2s:
It's just a rarer occurance for an F Body to do it. Same event site as my "three wheeling" picture, my friend Mike Johnson getting his stock T-top LT1 car to lift a wheel:

Re: Autocross videos
The valance? Hmmm, I never noticed it didn't have one.
Not sure ... the one on the left (pass. side) could just be part of the exhaust tip. Muffler is under the hump in the passenger side footwell, and the exhaust tip turns down just after it.
Pat
What are those two things hanging lower on your car, LCARB?
