stock shortblock
mildly ported heads
off the shelf comp nitrous cam
accel pro-ram single plane w/1200cfm throttlebody
megasquirt
th400 w/ 3600 converter
9" rear w/3.89 gears
race weight is 3050 lbs.
lotsa suspension stuff
really its nothing crazy. its totally streetable still and still has power brakes. still has the rear bumper support in it, and even the electric trunk pulldown.
im looking to get some GOOD heads on the car in the coming weeks, and i would like to see it pick up .2 or so with them. with the progressive controller and big jets, i hope to see some 9.50's before retiring this motor.

Man, how hard was it to make the megasquirt work? I am not a EFI type of person but would LOVE to use the MS system.

yup, rockingham, nc.
i originally had planned to put a fast xfi in the car, but after purchasing a "fixer upper" house, i quickly realized i wasnt going to have enough money to justify blowing 2 grand on a brain for the car.
so, i began looking into the megasquirt system. i bought the top of the line, so to speak, in kit form and assembled it myself. (been around electronics for 10 years or so)
anyways, everything went twice as good as i figured it would. put it in the car, made up the harness, followed instructions to come up with a baseline tune.
first time i turned the key the thing fired right up into an idle, i kid you not!!
i had previously been running a stock '93 z28 pcm and harness, along with optispark distributor. took all that mess out and put in the megasquirt, crank trigger, sbc distributor, and msd digital 7. the tach signal from the dig. 7 triggers the megasquirt. got the car tuned on a dyno with wideband.

Re: vid from sat. night
Had some wiring issues that were caused by me being an idiot(make sure you solder the wiring harness GOOD and don't cross any wires, especially the 5v ref for the TPS). VERY easy to tune, had it driving almost like stock in about an hour, I had no previous efi experience either.

NICE, do you have interior? I plan on trying to get down to 3000 lbs if i can, mine is a stick so it shouldnt be too hard.

Re: vid from sat. night
i dont see why youd have a problem getting down to 3,000 lbs. my car has a heavy th400, 9" rear, nitrous bottle, and 8 point rollbar made of mild steel and its 3050 with me in it. (im around 155-160lbs)
