Finally used the juice Saturday

Well I got to the track around 10:30 and it was pretty packed because they were doing a $1,000 pay out at the same time with T-n-T. I only made 5 passes, 2 on motor and 3 on the juice. I only managed to run 12.14 @111 mph , 1.70 60 ft. I was only running 32* total timing. I normally run 36* that's why my mph was so low I'm hoping. I usally trap 115 or 116 mph. Well I didn't confirm my thoughts due to time. The motor passes looked like this:

1st pass: 60 ft--1.73
1/8 ET--7.89
1/8 MPH--87.35
1/4 ET--12.37
1/4 MPH--111.39

2nd pass: 60 ft--1.70
1/8 ET--7.69
1/8 MPH--88.40
1/4 ET--12.14
1/4 MPH--111.69

Now the nitrous passes: I launched on nitrous on the 3rd pass only to spin through the 60 ft mark and all the way out to 330 ft mark, so I got out of it. That was my first time using nitrous at the track, but come to find out I didn't check my tire pressure in my M/T street radials. I had 20 lbs in my tires, I started out with 18 lbs during all motor passes. I failed to check tire pressure. On my 4th pass a friend of mine that runs nitrous all the time told me to set tire my pressure at 15 lbs and launch on motor, then hit the nitrous after I shift into 2nd gear. So I did just what he said. On the 5th and final pass due to time, I set tire pressure at 14 lbs. The Nitrous passes looked like this:All passes where made with 150 shot.

3rd pass: 60 ft--1.90
1/8 ET--8.03
1/8 MPH--74.87
1/4 ET--12.98
1/4 MPH--110.02

4th pass: 60 ft--1.67
1/8 ET--7.34
1/8 MPH--96.55
1/4 ET--11.36
1/4 MPH--123.63

5th pass: 60 ft--1.66
1/8 ET--7.30
1/8 MPH--97.68
1/4 ET--11.29
1/4 MPH--124.34

I set my timing at 31*, bottle pressure was 950 lbs during all nitrous passes, and I never unbolted my sway bar too. I never got the chance to launch on bottle again after reseting tire pressure due to time. So I know I can get the car into the 10's if I can get it to hook. So tell me what you think?

what you need safety stuff to go that fast safety is important to consider but even the more basic stuff, are all the tires rated to go those speeds ( alot of street tires are not) battery secure proper seating and belts as motorcycle guys say dress for the wreck not the ride

I have a fire jacket, I am installing a cage over the winter. Yeah I got lucky and ran that last time before I got booted.

Both you and Stephen 87 IROC are right about the safty issue . I need to take it really serious and legalize my car before I run it again, so that could be it for the year. Even though it's a daily driver. Thanks for your input fellas!!

Re: Finally used the juice Saturday

oh and one more thing, throw the stock brakes out the window, they suck, aerospace and wilwood make pretty good vented rotor street strip sets, i used aerospace drag brakes with the solid rotor and this thing stops awsome same track i couldnt make the second turn at 130 before at 146 with the new brakes i actually got off the brake to get to the turn and got some weight off in the deal too (uh cept now i uh need to get new headers)
