Will this setup get me into the 10s?
I am currently building this car and I am wondering if you all think it will go in the 10s when its done. Here is my setup: 87 Camaro 350 4-bolt block border .030 over, forged Scat crank and rods, JP pistons, 10.3:1 cr, Comp cam (284 int 305 exh duration, .507 int .525 exh lift), Performer RPM heads, victor jr intake, 750 CFM holley 4150, 150 HP nos shot, moser 12-bolt, 4.11 gears, TCI TH400, 3800 rpm stall. Spohn torque arm, QA1 shocks, lakewod control arms, 28x12.5 rear slick. Car will weigh in around 3200 lbs with me in it. Any thought on how it will do on the track?
Thanks
Thanks

How much bigger? I know the motor will take a much bigger shot but im worried about the transmission holding together. I am thinking it might be lighter then I originally thought. I am switching to manual steering and ditching the ac and smog pump. Plus the interior is gone, just gonna be a roll bar and a racing seat.

I think its extremely doable. If you haven't bought the cam yet BUY THE NEXT SIZE SMALLER! that cam is huge for your motor. Go with the NX274 which is 230/244 @ 050. My 10:1 350 with untouched Vortec heads and the Nitrous HP 274 went 12.60's on motor and on a 150 shot I never managed to get a clean pass because the car wouldn't hook but it went 11.62 @ 117mph with a 2.0 60ft... If I could have repeated the 1.5x 60ft's I've done in the past I'm sure that would have been a very low 11 second pass.
So think of this... if my car with worse heads, restrictive single 3" exhaust, non-hooking stock suspension, few hundred lbs heavier, and absolutely no tuning whatsoever trapped 117mph there is no reason you shouldn't be able to do, atleast, a little better and crack off a 10.90 at worse.
